The seminar held during Mikkeli Water Week on Tuesday, June 9 will highlight the opportunities of wastewater reuse as well as the challenges related to PFAS compounds and microplastics. The seminar is hosted by Dr. Asya Drenkova-Tuhtan from the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics (KBFI), and it brings together experts to discuss regulation, monitoring, practical solutions, and how municipalities and industry can sustainably utilize treated water.

From Wastewater to Resource -seminar will take place in Mikkeli just before the Internationa Conference on Emerging Trends in Water Treatment 2026 from 9 to 11 June, 2026 (organised by LUT University).
