From Wastewater to Resource: Tackling PFAS and Microplastics

The seminar held during Mikkeli Water Week on Tuesday, June 9 will highlight the opportunities of wastewater reuse as well as the challenges related to PFAS compounds and microplastics. The seminar will bring together experts to discuss regulation, monitoring, practical solutions, and how municipalities and industry can sustainably utilize treated water.  All programme will be in English.

The event is organized by the SIWat, Balt-Plast-Free, and BalticPFASResolve projects.

International Conference on Emerging Trends in Water Treatment 2026 (ETWT 2026)

From Wastewater to Resource -seminar will take place in Mikkeli just before the Internationa Conference on Emerging Trends in Water Treatment 2026 from 9 to 11 June, 2026 (organised by LUT University).

The goal of the ETWT 2026 is to provide a platform where water enthusiasts and environmental experts can exchange scientific knowledge and experiences. This conference will not just be a gathering of minds – it will be a platform for actionable solutions and partnerships that will shape the future of water sustainability.
