City of Mikkeli’s business development company

Mikkeli Development Miksei Ltd, or simply MikseiMikkeli, is a non-profit limited liability company. We are part of the City of Mikkeli Group. Our ownership is divided as follows: the City of Mikkeli holds 80.65%, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk) 17.74%, and LUT University 1.61%.

We operate under a service agreement with the City of Mikkeli

Administration

The management team consists of CEO Timo Paakki, Director of Tourism Maisa Häkkinen, Director of Development Olli Marjalaakso, Director of Services Mari Meriläinen, and Director of Administration Maarit Randelin.

The Chair of the Board is Tomi Sikanen, and the Vice Chair is Armi Salo-Oksa. Board members are Kati Häkkinen, Heli Mesiäinen, Kalevi Niemi, Esko Pitkänen, and Arto Seppälä.

The Board has seven members: four are appointed by the City of Mikkeli, one by South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk), one by the South Savo Chamber of Commerce, and one by the Mikkeli Entrepreneurs Association. The CEO serves as the presenting official to the Board.
